tarte Athleisure Collection Review
I recently got my hands on some products from tarte's new Athleisure Collection. In the current trend of less is more, I had to try out a few for myself.
Lifted Mascara:
I was immediately impressed with the wand. It is great at separating the lashes. It was definitely something new to try being a brown-black mascara, as I typically go for the blackest black, such as tarte's Lights Camera Lashes. With that said, it is my absolute new favorite! Sometimes certain mascaras can burn my eyes but this one didn't sting or cause any irritation. It gives such a natural look but with still noticeable separation on lighter makeup days such as running errands or working out (it is sweatproof!).
Blot Party:
This is an amazing product for people who have combination/oily skin or who produce shine later in the day. In a cute little pleather-like magnetic compact, it is perfect for those on the go and will fit right in your purse. The mattifying powder does the job and it comes with a little brush! Also included is a pack of blotting papers - essential for summertime.
Quench Lip Rescue:
This sheer moisturizing lip balm in the shade nude was the only disappointing product for me. Although the minty smell was great, I found that after wearing it my lips felt more dry later on. It gives a pretty tint to the lips but I can say I will not reach for it often.
Brighter Days:
I like to use this underneath a beauty balm or full coverage foundation because alone, this moisturizer is too shiny for me. They advertise it as being a clear highlighting moisturizer, but I noticed that it adds a pale finish so I would not wear it by itself unless you're fair. I was surprised it had sparkle flecks in it, I thought it was going to be more of a sheen. However, I do like that it adds life to dull skin especially during the winter months and after trying out the trial size, I did purchase the full size version.
Fresh Eyes Maracuja Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Wipes:
I prefer a soapier wetter wipe, such as Pond's, but these wipes smelled amazing and did leave my skin feeling soft, much like it does after using their Maracuja Oil.
tarte has become one of my favorite brands recently and I am excited to see what they come up with next! What tarte products are you loving?
