Five Favorites

There will always be those special products that you repeatedly gravitate towards using, even after purchasing and trying out different ones. This post is about five favorites of mine that I know will always perform.

1) Anastasia Beverly Hill Master Palette by Mario

This collaboration with Mario Dedivanovic, best known as Kim Kardashian's makeup artist, is my favorite palette from ABH. Like all other ABH shadows, the quality and payoff is amazing. I love how their mattes are never chalky or patchy, and make perfect transition shades because they are so buttery and blendable. The shimmer shades have a beautiful finish and are not glittery. I knew this limited edition palette was a must buy for me because it is a dream for anyone who loves warmer tones. With a few pops of color like the olive green shimmer 'Bronx', the navy blue shimmer 'Claudia', and the warm rosy pink 'Muse', the looks you can create are endless.

2) tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

Described as "a lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara infused with olive esters to condition, treat, and protect lashes", this cult favorite does everything it claims to! Some mascaras can irritate my eyes, but tarte's eyes products are ophthalmologist tested and this mascara is very comfortable to wear. It really does increase lash volume and length, and the wand is great at separating lashes. Not to mention, the faux reptile packaging is very cool.

3) Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey
An effervescent caramel honey, this highlighter is insanely gorgeous. What I like about most is that the product is entirely buildable. You can have a softer subtle glow with a lighter hand or layer it on top of a cream for a bright cheekbone pop. And because you can control how much illumination you want, this highlighter is the one I own with the most natural looking finish.

4) theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush
I love products that multitask and this is one of my favorites. I use it as blush to give a little warmth to my face because it blends so well with a contoured cheek. You don't get that Napoleon ice cream look (as I like to call it), where there's a very visible definition between the contour, blush, then highlight. Not cute! It gives a very natural color for those with medium/olive skin tones and is super long lasting. The magnetic compact pin-up packaging is this cosmetic brand's signature, and I cannot resist.

5) L'Oréal Infallible Lip Paint in Nude Star
This relatively new lip product is unlike any other drugstore liquid lip I have tried before. Leaving the matte trend and heading toward a glossy satin finish, this lip "paint" is so comfortable on the lips. I love that the color is completely opaque without it being streaky, and the shine is super lustrous but not sticky. The applicator is an angled doe foot and makes it very easy to apply with precision. I now own three shades because I was so impressed with the formula.

All in all, these products are ones that do not disappoint, and of course I am always looking for new favorites! ;)
